School Health Services
According to the *CDC, healthy students are better learners! Poor nutrition, lack of physical activity and an overall unhealthy lifestyle can lead to poor academic achievement in children. Studies have shown that healthy children get better grades, attend school more often and behave better in class.
immunization - Breaking news
You still have to get your kids vaccinated even if their California school goes online
Before students are granted admission, even during distance learning, schools are required to review immunization records.
school entry physical exam
California State Law requires that all transitional kindergarten, kindergarten, or first-time first grade entrants submit proof of a health examination or waiver before admission to school. The health examination may uncover hidden health problems that can keep your child from learning. The examination may be completed up to 6 months before starting TK/kindergarten.
If the exam has not been completed, please call your healthcare provider and make an appointment as soon as possible. Clinics may have limited appointments available due to social distancing policies
