MDUSD Technology Purchasing Standards
Technology items on this list conform to MDUSD standards for most technology purchases. Any items not on this list must be approved by TIS management. We recommend that you consult and inform your district-assigned technician about all potential technology purchases. TIS management is also happy to help you with all aspects of your technology decisions and purchases. Note that many technology purchase requests need to be submitted for board approval.
You can create a purchase request from any line item in this purchasing list. The vendor for these items is CDW-G. Their PEID is 052914.
For items that require installation (such as large-screen displays), we have a vendor or vendors that can install them. Please contact TIS management directly for information.
District Standards
Our district standard computer for staff and administrators is Windows-based with 16GB memory and a 256GB storage drive. Our standard student computer is an HP Chromebook with 4GB memory and 32GB storage.
The purchase of Apple computers is limited to classes that directly use them, such as CTE art and digital media classes.
A note on lead times
Due to COVID and increased global delays in shipping, product availability is currently limited and delivery times are substantially longer than usual. Orders for computers, printers, docking stations and other peripherals may take three to six months (or longer) to fulfill.
